Anthony Joshua signs a long-term agreement with Dazn
The two-time heavyweight champion has also joined the company as a stakeholder, brand ambassador, and special advisor.
Joshua will join Dazn's strategic advisory board in this latter capacity as the company works to expand its worldwide boxing offering. The company, which has its headquarters in the UK, also wants to grow in its own country.
Joshua and Dazn have collaborated for a while, and they both anticipate great rewards from their most recent agreement.
The CEO of Dazn Group, Shay Segev, did not hold back in outlining his expectations and welcomed the "vast audiences" that Joshua draws.
"AJ is a very well-liked and well-respected athlete. His support of us and his investment in our company says a lot, according to Segev.
"This transaction represents his endorsement of our goals and course as a company. We appreciate his enthusiasm, perseverance, and, most importantly, the sizable audiences he draws.
With a new training facility, new coaches, and a new broadcaster, Joshua expressed a similar level of excitement for this agreement, saying: "I am beginning a new period in my career.
Negotiations of this kind take time, so I'm glad to get everything settled. Now that that's done, I can devote all of my attention to delivering the fans and Dazn what they want: victories in the glamour division.
We have had a very fruitful cooperation in the US for many years, and I am familiar with the staff and the business's enthusiasm and ambition.
