The Churchill Downs Racecourse 'Venuetizes' its financial transactions
Churchill Downs may now include the mobile product's ticketing, maps, and other customer-facing features thanks to the new deal, which is available on both Apple and Android devices.
Venuetize specialised on mobile experiences for visitors, sports fans, and bettors alike and provides a mobile wallet.
The alliance supports the growing movement in US society and the gaming industry towards digitalization and cashless transactions.
"We continue to extend our capabilities to support premier clients, like Churchill Downs Racecourse and their guests," stated Jon Romm, CEO and founder of Venuetize.
"Together, through a strong partnership and ongoing innovation, we'll redefine the horseracing guest experience and serve as an example of how sports, entertainment, and gamification can coexist at next year's premier race, The Kentucky Derby," the statement reads.
Churchill Downs Racetrack's vice president of marketing, brand, and partnerships Casey Ramage later added: "Churchill Downs is always searching for ways to enhance the technological experience for our fans and visitors.
We will keep the fans of the Kentucky Derby and Churchill Downs entertained all year long thanks to our relationship with Venuetize.
FanDuel and Churchill Downs Incorporated (CDI) last week agreed to a multi-year contract that would provide the latter Kentucky Derby sponsorship rights.
Additionally, CDI and the New York Racing Association reached a deal last month to sell 49% of United Tote.
Both pieces of information came after Churchill Downs reported Q2 revenue of $582.5 million, which included a record number of spectators for the Kentucky Derby at Churchill Downs Racecourse.
